The Mental Health Crisis Among Children and Young People

1 in 5 children and young people now have a probable mental health condition.
Please just think about that for a moment.

In a typical classroom of 25 children, at least five are currently struggling — or will struggle — with their mental health.

This is not just a statistic. It’s a wake-up call.

Why It Matters

Children and young people should never have to face these challenges alone.
Nor should they be denied access to the knowledge and understanding of how their minds and bodies work — especially when it directly affects their wellbeing.

Despite the growing need, mental health education is still not a compulsory core subject in schools. This leaves many students unequipped to manage their emotions, stress, and mental health needs in a healthy, informed way.

Our Belief

We strongly believe there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to mental health education.
Every classroom is filled with diverse personalities, life experiences, and needs — something every teacher knows well.

That’s exactly why tailored, inclusive, and compassionate mental health education is essential.

The Goal

Let’s ensure every child and young person gets the best head start possible —
with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to not only cope, but to thrive.

Classroom

Why choose us for your school?

There are countless companies and organisations offering mental health support for schools — and many of them sound great.
We acknowledge that most do, in their own way, bring benefits to children and young people.

But here’s the truth:
We are not about the “one size fits all” approach.

A Tailored Approach to Mental Health Education

Yes, we have six core modules as part of our school program.
But these are not off-the-shelf lessons. Every module is carefully revised and adapted for each group of students based on input from:

  • Parents

  • Teachers

  • School staff who know the children best

This ensures our content is relevant, sensitive, and effective for the specific cohort we’re working with.

Designed and Delivered by a Qualified Expert

Our program isn’t just theory-based.
It’s developed and delivered by an experienced child and adolescent psychotherapist — someone who has spent years working directly with children facing a range of mental health issues.

This means:

  • The content is grounded in real clinical experience

  • Support is available during critical incidents or safeguarding issues

  • There is an expert on hand in both a supportive and advisory capacity throughout the program

Supporting the Whole Ecosystem: Children, Parents, and Staff

We don’t stop when the student sessions end.

After the 6-week program, we also provide a dedicated support session for parents and staff.
This essential follow-up helps:

  • Reinforce what the children have learned

  • Equip adults to continue the conversation at home and in the classroom

  • Ensure the wellbeing knowledge is integrated and sustained beyond our involvement

Our Commitment

We don’t just educate — we empower.
We help schools build a supportive environment where children, teachers, and families work together to protect and promote mental wellbeing.

What does our program look like?

We deliver six core modules over the course of six weeks, with each session running for two hours per week.

Every participant receives a personalised Wellbeing Workbook, which includes:

  • Their session work and reflections

  • Extra activities to do at home

  • Self-help tools tailored for their age group

  • Further support information for parents and carers

All materials and delivery are age-appropriate and adapted to suit the needs of each specific group.

The Six Modules

  1. Learning the Lingo
Understanding the language of emotions and mental health.

  2. The Cognitive Triangle
Exploring the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.

  3. That Funny Old Thing Called Life
Normalising life’s ups and downs and learning how to manage change and uncertainty.

  4. Me, Myself and I
Encouraging self-awareness, identity, and building self-esteem.

  5. Relationships: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
Learning about healthy and unhealthy relationships and how they affect our wellbeing.

  6. My Mental Health Toolbox
Equipping students with practical tools and coping strategies to manage their mental health.

Our Delivery Style

We believe that learning about mental health should be engaging and enjoyable.

  • Each session is designed to be highly interactive

  • We use creative methods, discussion, role play, and games to promote participation

  • We aim to fill the classroom with laughter, energy, and enthusiasm, because we know that when students are having fun, they’re learning more deeply

What Students Will Gain

By the end of the program, students will:

  • Understand key mental health concepts and vocabulary

  • Be more confident in identifying and expressing their emotions

  • Feel more comfortable talking about mental health

  • Be equipped with a practical toolkit to manage their wellbeing

  • Be empowered to support both themselves and their peers
