Person-Centred Counsellor
Leanne

Hello and welcome to my page.
I have recently achieved my Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (Person-Centred), a milestone that reflects both my professional commitment and my personal journey.

For more than a decade, I’ve worked within education, where my passion for supporting others has always been at the heart of what I do. I currently specialise in SEN, giving me extensive experience in understanding individual differences and providing tailored support across a wide range of needs.

Alongside this, I hold an Early Years Diploma and have additional training in child psychology.

Outside of work, I’m a mum of two, and you’ll often find me outdoors walking the dog — it’s my favourite way to reset and find headspace. I’m also a big fan of podcasts and love exploring new ideas through them.

My decision to become a counsellor was deeply personal. After navigating my own challenges and experiencing the transformative impact of therapy, I felt compelled to help others find their way to a healthier, more fulfilling life. That lived experience is a core part of my practice today.

I would describe myself as open-minded, compassionate, and deeply invested in helping people reach their full potential. I’m genuinely looking forward to meeting new clients and providing a safe, welcoming space where they can explore, reflect, and focus on themselves.

The Person-centered approach I am offering is non-directive as I believe you are your expert, and I can add my skills to work collaboratively to find the right balance in your life.
‘As no one else can know how we perceive. We are the best experts on ourselves.’
Carl R. Rogers

Life can be tough and there’s no magic wand for a quick fix however, Mental health is just as important as physical health and can be often overlooked.
During our sessions, you can explore whatever you wish- to improve your overall wellbeing.
Whether that be…. your struggles, feelings, or relationships in a non-judgmental space with acceptance.
I can be with you on your journey where you will be met with kindness, empathy, and acceptance with the encouragement for growth.
I currently have availability for online clients. I can accommodate most timings so please just get in touch to enquire.

I am fully insured, have an enhanced DBS certificate, and am regularly supervised with a BACP accredited clinician.

I shall at all time work in accordance with BACP's Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions (2018) and total confidentiality from the moment of your initial enquiry is upheld.
